Samuel Oscar Skelton

It is with great sense of profound sadness that we announce the passing of Samuel Oscar Skelton of Cayon, St. Kitts, who resided on Peter’s Rest, St. Croix. A former Dairy Processing Operator with Island Daries, he transitioned of Father’s Day, June 21, 2026, in Kissimmee, Florida.

Samuel was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Thomas and Frances Skelton; his sister, Francis "Fanny" Skelton; and his brothers, John Skelton Sr., Thomas Claxton, and Jo-Gibbs Skelton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Armonel Skelton; his daughters, Irene Brown, Suzette Skelton, and Samantha Skelton; his sons, Morris, Calvin, and Jason Skelton; and his stepdaughter, Ethlyne Barzey-Greenaway.

He is also lovingly remembered by his grandsons, Anthony Skelton, Denard Rudolph Jr., and Keyshawn Greenway; his granddaughters, Alyaha Benjamin, De'Liyah Rudolph, Latoya Gumbs, and Lashaun Greenaway; his great-granddaughter, Ke'Layaha Andrews and Zenaylah Hendricks; his great-grandson, Chauncey Hendricks, and Antoine Hendricks; and his great great-grandson, Azari Johnson.

Samuel is further survived by his brother, Samuel "Tony" Skelton; his sister, Cynthia Skelton-Martin; sisters-in-law, Ernestine, Veronica, and Erma Skelton, Jocelyn Hunter, Carmen Barzey, Betty Allen, and Cynthia Gumbs; and brothers-in-law, Wellington Martin and Alvin Barzey.

He also leaves behind numerous nieces, Jacqueline Skelton-Esprit, Jahresha Skelton, Daresha, Naresha, Karesha, and Laresha Martin, Sharifa, Charaine, Melissa, Taiesha Skelton, Dianne Caines; his nephews, Shamari, John Skelton Jr., Haseem, and Vernon Skelton; his great-nieces, Robin, Rylie, and Reigan Cabrera, J'Niya Lettsome, and Kimoia Turnbull; his great-nephews, Rai Skelton, Hayden Skelton Esprit, Kimari Turnbull, Jah'Nai Martin, and Shamar Longford, together with many other relatives and dear friends whose lives he touched.

Samuel will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his strong work ethic, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life honoring Samuel Oscar Skelton will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Divine Funeral Services Chapel, #129 Peter’s Rest, Christiansted VI 00820. Viewing will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
