With deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Louisa McFarlande, who peacefully departed this life on July 27, 2026, at the age of 85. Louisa was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, aunt, and loyal friend. She was known for her kindness, unwavering faith, generous heart, and the love she freely shared with everyone she met. Her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched countless lives, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Louisa was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Elmaira Charles and Noel John Charles, and by her beloved son, Joseph Jn Charles.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her devoted husband, Jean B. McFarlande; her beloved son, Moses Jn Charles of Brooklyn, New York; her loving stepchildren, Lillian Jeffers, Daphne Chambers, Winsbut McFarlande Sr., and Jean McFarlande Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Valencia Henry of Brooklyn, New York; her cherished grandchildren, Tara, Matthew, Joey, Kinan, Chad, Jordan, and Kishon, all residing in New York, as well as Lona Regis, Clinton Regis, and Nehemiah Regis of Vigier; and her step-grandchildren too numerous to mention.

She is also lovingly remembered by her brother, Harrison Edward of St. Croix; her nieces and nephews, Lucia Gustave and family of Canada; the Regis family of St. Lucia and abroad; the Toutouyouette family of Canada and TiRochier, Micoud; the Jn Charles family of the United Kingdom and Desruisseaux; Perina and family of Vigier; her dear friends Francis of Laborie, Vieux Fort, Agatha Augustine of Vigier, and Cheribina Coffey of Desruisseaux; together with many other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention, all of whom will deeply miss her love and presence.

Though she has departed from this earthly life, her legacy of love, faith, strength, and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.

A Celebration of Life honoring Louisa McFarlande will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Frederiksted Baptist Church, 89-B Wheel of Fortune, Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands 00840. Viewing begins at 9:00 A.M. and Funeral Service at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
