Carmen Elizabeth Blake-Ferdinand

It is with profound sadness, yet with hearts filled with gratitude for a life beautifully lived, that we announce the passing of our beloved Carmen Elizabeth Blake-Ferdinand, who peacefully departed this life on September 12, 2026.

Carmen was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, relative, and friend. Her genuine spirit, warm heart, beautiful smile, and loving presence touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Throughout her life, Carmen created countless cherished memories with her family and friends. She will forever be remembered for her strength, kindness, compassion, laughter, and the special way she made those around her feel loved, cared for, and appreciated.

Carmen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis Ferdinand; her mother, Sheila Blake; her brothers, Ernel Blake, Joshua Blake, Marvin Blake, and Glenroy Farrell; her nephew, Ozeno Cornelius; and her uncle, Irvine Blake.

She leaves to cherish her memory her father, Eardley G. Blake; her stepmother, Claudette Blake; her son, Kareem Ferdinand; her daughters, Denisia Ferdinand and Deyonna Ferdinand; and her grandchildren, Kayden JahKari Ferdinand and Za’Riyah Allen.

She will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Varona Noel, Vanill Cornelius, Heather Blake, Julie-Ann Blake, and Karen Blake; her brothers, Zacchaeus Blake and Rhodnie Caines; as well as her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, godchildren, special friends, best friends, and other relatives and loved ones too numerous to mention.

Though Carmen is no longer with us physically, the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the beautiful memories she created will continue to live on through her family and friends. Her life was a gift, her memory a treasure, and her love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A funeral service for Carmen Elizabeth Blake-Ferdinand will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Ebenezer Methodist Church. The viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
