Alinton Wilbert Hobson

The Alinton Wilbert Hobson family is deeply saddened to announce his passing on October 11, 2026, at the age of 50.

Alinton was born on August 16, 1976, in Sandy Point, St. Kitts, to Jean Duncan-Browne and Ira Hobson Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving parents, Jean Duncan-Browne and Ira Hobson Sr.; his beloved sons, Shaquan and Elijah; his siblings; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Alinton was a cherished member of the extended Wider Gumbs family, of which he was a great-grandson. He was also well known as the beloved cousin of Shamade Burke and the best friend of Julian Joseph of St. Croix and Pennsylvania. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service for the late Alinton Wilbert Hobson is scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026, at Ebenezer Methodist Church in Christiansted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
