Alicia Camacho Roper was born on August 21, 1938, and peacefully passed away on August 15, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Alicia is survived by her daughter, Lydia Roper, her sons, Kenneth Roper, Darren Roper, and Phillip Roper Sr.; her daughters in-law, Yvonne Roper, and Cheryl-Ann Roper; and her grandchildren, Eric Roper, Joseph Roper, Nicole Roper, Renee Roper, Candace Roper, and Phillip Roper Jr. She is also survived by her brother, Miguel Camacho; her sisters, Yvonne Gibbons, Victoria Brignoni, Marciana Camacho, and Juanita Camacho Morales; her nieces, Angelita “Angie” Camacho-Ortiz, Alicia Camacho White, Elizabeth Camacho Guzman, Deborah Morales, Yolanda Morales, Janice Morales, Nolyn Milliner, Hazel Roper, Beverly Archer, Joycelyn Roper, Lavern Ramkissen, Merna Matthew, Donna Roper, Sandra Brown, Vanessa McKinney, Joyce Smith; her nephews, Steve Gibbons, Glen Roper, Errol Smith, Leon Roper, Everett Roper, Dave Roper, Joseph Roper, JR. Miguel Roper, and Anselmo Roper.

Alicia will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins, Patricia Donovan, Roy Jennings, Sherroil Jennings-Roberts, and Ed Henley; and her special friends, Elizabeth Hartzog, Orneth La Cobiniere, and Edna Santiago. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, friends, and all whose lives she touched throughout the years.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Alicia Camacho Roper will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Divine Funeral Services & Crematory Chapel, 129 Peter’s Rest, Christiansted, VI 00820. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.

Though she is no longer with us, Alicia’s love, memories, and the legacy she leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest peacefully awaiting the first trumpet sound.
